#greathornbillproject for September 2016

At SBK motorworks, we love motorsports, we love animals too! The animals and its habitats.

Our small contribution for wildlife conservation in September goes to the Borneo elephant. We adopted 'gajah' Borneo under the WWF Malaysia adoption program.

We call this project #greathornbillproject. Let's support the conservation activities and let's love our nature.

Thank you to our customers for your support to SBK Motoworks. Some portion from your purchase will be allocated into this project. More sales programs soon!

Any inquiry about the project, please email to admin@sbkmotoworks.com

Some facts about the Borneo Elephant copied from WWF Malaysia website.

The Borneo elephants are found mostly in the Malaysian state of Sabah. This makes Sabah home to the world's smallest known sub-species of elephants.

Sadly, Borneo elephants are:-

  • Losing their habitat due to displacement by large scale agriculture and plantations.
  • Coming into more contact with people thus increasing human elephant conflict due to loss and fragmentation of forests.
These endemic Borneo elephants are losing their homes and families. With only about 1,500 of them left in the wild in Borneo, urgent and continuous actions need to be performed in order to conserve these gentle giants.
